Mark is a multi-award-winning ESG and sustainability leader, published thought-leader, and ICAEW ACA member, with an MSc in Sustainable Finance. Active in sustainability, climate change, and business resilience since 2006, he has worked with UK and European authorities, including as UK relationship lead for the UN SDG Project. He leads MHA’s business and climate-related sustainability service line and created the pioneering “Purpose with Profit” model, helping businesses align environmental action with commercial sustainability. He founded the Rural Policy Group, uniting government, scientists, producers, and retailers, which led to a Parliamentary Working Group on sustainable UK food chains. With experience across public and private sectors, Mark ran a large educational institution for over 15 years before joining MHA. In 2024, he was named a UNGC UK Top 5 Pioneer. His sector expertise spans agriculture, food & farming, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, fashion, digital, ESG, and education. Mark has received multiple awards, including National Finance Director of the Year, ICAEW Accounting for Sustainability Award, National Business Finance Director of the Year, the Institute for Fiscal Turnaround Public Sector Award, and the IoD Blue Ribbon Award for Governance and Finance Excellence. He is also a Kent ambassador and charity trustee.
