Miele
Strategic FP&A Leader, ex-Indeed
Michael Miele is a strategic finance leader with more than a decade of experience building high performing FP&A and business partnering functions across global technology and travel companies. Most recently at Indeed he supported senior leadership on enterprise forecasting investment planning and operational performance management. Prior to that he held multiple finance leadership roles at Expedia Group partnering closely with product marketing and commercial organizations to guide growth strategy, long range planning and capital allocation. Michael is known for developing high performing teams and elevating the role of finance as a strategic partner across the business. His work focuses on helping finance organizations move beyond retrospective reporting toward designing the operating systems that drive scalable growth. Before moving into finance Michael studied jazz performance at the Conservatory of Music at Purchase College and began studying under renowned drummer and educator John Riley while still in high school. He performed professionally as a bandleader leading his own jazz trio and quartet while also working as an educator. The experience of performing live and leading ensembles continues to influence his leadership style today, particularly the importance of listening for signals, adapting in real time and building strong team dynamics.
